‘Game Plan’ meetings slated

Officials with the Vancouver 2010 Olympics and Paralympics Organizing Committee (VANOC) are inviting Sea to Sky corridor residents to attend one of three upcoming meetings to learn more about life during the Games.

The meetings, the third set of gatherings in the Game Plan 2010 series, are planned on Tuesday, Dec. 8, at the Pemberton Community Centre; Wednesday, Dec. 9, at the Whistler Conference Centre; and Thursday, Dec. 10, at Brennan Park Recreation Centre in Squamish. All three take place from 7 to 9 p.m.

The evening will include up-to-date details on the Sea to Sky Checkpoint and Localized Vehicle Permits that will be part of life in the corridor during the Games. As well, officials plan to provide information about security and a look ahead at daily operation of the Games.

A one-hour presentation is to begin at 7 p.m., followed by a chance for attendees to browse through open house displays and ask questions of Games officials.
