Building our Future
Your support on May 12, 2011 will help the Whistler Adaptive Sports
Program literally “Build our Future”. We are in the last stages of our
capital fundraising campaign for the Jeff Harbers Adaptive Sports Centre
at Whistler Blackcomb. The proceeds raised on May 12 will provide the
final funds needed to complete this new, flagship project. Your
contribution will contribute to a permanent legacy that will affect the
lives of thousands of individuals with a disability.
The Jeff Harbers Adaptive Sports Centre, to be built on Whistler
Mountain, will allow the Whistler Adaptive Ski and Snowboard, Adaptive
Alpine Race and Alpine Hiking/Trail Rider Programs to thrive and
increase visibility within the sport community. In addition to the
Harbers Family, the Whistler Blackcomb Foundation, American Friends of
Whistler, Whistler Blackcomb, Scotiabank, Borden Ladner and Gervais,
Glacier Creek Contracting and Andrew Terret Architecture have each been
instrumental partners creating the foundation for this project. We
continue to accept gifts of cash or in-kind services and materials for
this flagship capital project.
